TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE RADIOASB LIVE STREAM

IMPORTANT: Please note that in most cases your PC will probably already have a compatible media player e.g. Microsoft Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, WINAMP or Apple iTunes. If not, please install a FREE media player from one of the links below in order to listen to the RadioASB music stream.

Questions and Answers

Question: I can not access the RadioASB stream.

Answer: You may not have a media player installed. This is the critical software application required in order to access the RadioASB music stream. Please click on one of the media player links listed above to obtain a FREE media player software application.

Question: I have the required player software installed and I still can not hear the music stream.

Answer: Please check all of the suggestions listed below:

1. Please make certain to use only Internet Explorer to access the media player. If you use an AOL browser, a browser with frames like Hotmail, or any other specialized or altered browser, the media player may not function properly. Please make certain that you open a new Internet Explorer window before you try to open the media player and/or the RadioASB website.

2. If you are accessing the Internet via telephone "dial-up" please check your connection speed. Internet access via a "dial-up" connection can be extremely slow. This can create a scenario where the media player does not seem to play. In reality the media player is actually accessing the data stream but is in a constant state of "buffering" due to the extremely slow connection speed. If you are using a "dial-up" connection you will usually get varying connection speeds, and often the speed is much slower than what your 28k or 56k modem is capable of handling. We recommend contacting your “ISP” (Internet Service Provider) to inquire about alternate telephone dial-in access numbers. Hopefully they can provide additional dial-in telephone access numbers which might possibly allow access to a better connection speed.
