RadioASB Live on Wall Street in New York City
San Diego, CA – October 5, 2006 - Syntarus Corporation, a
global telecommunications, radio broadcast programming and information
management technology firm based in San Diego, CA formally announced
the successful promotional live broadcast earlier today of the “Carl
Sabatino and the Morning Show” program by subsidiary RadioASB
(American Songbook Radio) from Wall Street in New York City.
RadioASB Executive Vice President Richard F. Burrell stated, “The
live broadcast, which aired from 6:00AM to 10:00AM Eastern Time
and featured the full four hours of the regularly scheduled “Carl
Sabatino & the Morning Show”, proved to be an overwhelming
success.”
The live broadcast was conducted from directly in front of Wall
Street icon restaurant “Sale & Pepe” at 1 Exchange
Plaza.
RadioASB studio engineer Joseph “JoeyB” Baron directed
the on-site technical operations throughout the entire four hour
broadcast. When asked for a comment as to the objective of the broadcast,
Mr. Baron responded, “The broadcast event was intended to
demonstrate our ability to deliver a continuous “live”
wireless broadband broadcast from a remote location outside of the
RadioASB studio to a national Internet radio audience via www.RadioASB.com
using cost effective wireless broadband audio and video transmissions.”
This was substantiated by Radio and Records Magazine, which stated,
“On October 5, 2006 RadioASB, an Internet radio station, delivered
the first continuous live wireless broadband broadcast from the
Wall Street area in New York City to a national Internet radio audience,
demonstrating to media industry observers in attendance the coming
of age of cost effective wireless broadband audio and video transmissions
over the Internet.
Mr. Carl J. Sabatino, host of the RadioASB “Carl Sabatino
& the Morning Show” and long time veteran of New York
City FM radio, delivered four full hours of dynamic dialogue and
engaging interviews expertly interwoven with his uniquely hand crafted
blend of wonderful American Songbook music.
In reference to the format of his program, Mr. Sabatino explained,
“The "Carl Sabatino & the Morning Show" serves
up an engaging blend of American Popular Standards, classic and
smooth Jazz, light Contemporary Rock and a just a touch of cross-over
Country.”
The “Carl Sabatino & the Morning Show” program
regularly airs on RadioASB at www.RadioASB.com each Monday through
Friday from 6:00AM to 10:00AM Eastern Time.
The entire RadioASB “Morning Show Gang”, which included
studio executive Tony “Boss Man” Camillo, studio engineer
Joseph “Joey B” Baron, studio audio technician Jason
Mattia and on-air personality Jesse Anne Pirraglia, all left the
comfort of RadioASB’s “Studio 7” and ventured
out into the pre-dawn October chill to assist with the broadcast.
To ensure a seamless “live” radio transmission the RadioASB
“West Coast Technical Unit”, headed by Richard F. Burrell,
arose in the middle of the night on the West Coast in order to assist
remotely from San Diego, making this a truly national RadioASB event.
The program showcased several guests of distinction, including
renowned jazz saxophonist Frank Ascone, celebrated recording artist
Michelle Parto and Mr. Algie DeWitt IV, publisher of the multi-cultural
vogue international fashion and lifestyle publication MAMi Magazine.
Mr. DeWitt IV is also a prominent journalist, radio host and TV
personality.
Mr. Ascone dazzled the audience with his saxophone virtuosity by
performing jazz renditions from his extensive repertoire, including
the title track from his recently released CD “That's All”.
Ms. Michelle Parto regaled the early morning Wall Street crowd
with her inimitable vocal style on two separate occasions during
the broadcast. Ms. Parto, who has been headlining at sold out shows
in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, recently signed a major record label
contract, which she discussed during an “on air” interview
with Mr. Sabatino.
As a special treat to the fashion enthusiasts among RadioASB listeners,
noted publisher Mr. Algie DeWitt IV discussed his vogue multi-cultural
fashion and lifestyle publication, MAMi Magazine. Mr. DeWitt IV
also announced “on-air” the exciting liaison recently
established between RadioASB and MAMi Magazine, which includes plans
to have RadioASB provide a sophisticated blend of highly customized
radio programming content to the MAMi Magazine web site at www.mamimagazine.com.
The plans also include additional collaborative efforts scheduled
for early 2007.
In order to ward off the early morning chill, Mr. Peter Semetis,
noted New York City restaurateur and owner of prestigious “Sale
& Pepe”, teamed up with his General Manager Brian Dwyer
and provided hot coffee and a unique array of classic and gourmet
breakfast fare to RadioASB personnel, interview guests and audience
members. Mr. Semetis also very graciously provided “Sale &
Pepe” lunch and dinner gift certificates for distribution
to passers-by who stopped to catch the RadioASB broadcast.
As a wonderfully generous gesture to RadioASB, celebrated singer
and entertainer Tony Orlando offered several pairs of front row
seats to his upcoming concert on Sunday, October 8th at 7:00PM Eastern
Time at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the C.W. Post
campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York.
Mr. Orlando, fresh from serving his 27th stint as host for the
Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, is most certainly keeping active
nowadays. In addition to a hectic touring schedule he has recently
authored a book entitled “Tie a Yellow Ribbon: While We Are
Apart” published by Rutledge Hill Press. The book is reminiscent
of his 1973 smash hit single “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the
Old Oak Tree,” which has become an American anthem of hope,
homecoming, reunion and renewal. As Mr. Orlando himself notes, “The
book is meant to be a warm, loving note to send to people who are
away from home, whether serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan,
stationed at military bases worldwide or merely away at college.”
Portions of the book’s proceeds will benefit veteran organizations,
which are the singer’s passion. Mr. Orlando adds, “I’ve
worked very hard for veteran causes for 33 years now, and I intend
to continue working for this worthy cause for many years to come.”
